Sandy 4th of July 5K
The event is a community 5K held in Sandy City on July 4, starting at Sandy City Promenade, 10200 S. Centennial Parkway. Packet pickup is available July 2 during office hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 440 E. 8680 S., Sandy.
Registration includes a race t shirt. Shirt sizes are distributed on a first come, first served basis while supplies last and are not guaranteed for late registrations. Late registration closes online on July 4 at 6 a.m. Day of registration is accepted at the location up to one hour before the race. Fee structure lists Individual registration at $35 per participant and Family or Group registration at $30 per participant. Late fees are listed as Individual $40 and Group $35. Online registration is not available for late registration.
The event welcomes participants of all ages and allows walking, jogging, running, or racing. Dogs are not allowed on the race course. A family discount is offered to immediate family members when two or more people from the same household register in the same transaction. A group discount is available for organizations with a minimum of five participants; group registrations must be completed in the same transaction. Organizations using the group discount should create an account representing the organization.
Awards are given to the first three male and female finishers in each age division. There will be a prize drawing after the race for pre registered participants. Age divisions include 5 & under, 6 to 9, 10 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 24, 25 to 29, 30 to 34, 35 to 39, 40 to 44, 45 to 49, 50 to 54, 55 to 59, 60 to 64, 65 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 & up.
