The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Stampede is scheduled for Saturday, February 7, 2026 in downtown San Antonio at Milam Park, 201 W. Commerce St, 78207. The event includes these distances/events:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 5K Virtual Run
- 1-Mile Walk (no chip time)
Entry fee for each listed event is $45. The 5K Run/Walk fee increases after December 31, 2025. The 5K Virtual Run fee increases after February 1, 2026. Web registration for the 5K run/walk closes at midnight on February 6, 2026. Registration for the 1-mile walk closes on January 6, 2026 and re-opens on January 7, 2026.
Logistics, route and awards
Proceeds support the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship Fund. The 2026 race route is not yet finalized; organizers expect it to run through downtown and hope to include the River Walk. The race passes through the route of the Western Heritage Parade and Cattle Drive; overall and masters winners of both sexes will ride in the parade behind a banner marked "STAMPEDE CHAMPIONS."
Packet pick-up and onsite registration dates and locations:
- Burleson Beer Garden, 430 Austin St., Sunday, February 1, 2026
- Las Palapas (1604/O'Connor), Monday and Wednesday evenings (see event info)
All participants receive a swag bag, pre-race snacks and beverages, and post-race adult beverages and snacks. There are no refunds. Teams of at least 10 receive a $5 discount per runner (issued as a refund once the team reaches 10). Strollers are allowed; animals other than service dogs are not encouraged.
Virtual participants will be mailed race kits the week of January 26, 2026 and may submit results and photos. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
