Saltash Running Festival
The Saltash Running Festival is held in Longstone Park, Saltash, as part of the Saltash Mayfair weekend. Organized by the Tamar Trotters, the event features several distances on roads and rural paths throughout the historic town in Cornwall.
The following distances are available:
- Half Marathon: A 13.1-mile road race through the town and surrounding countryside including hills and riverside views.
- 5K+: A race with a distance of 5.134 kilometres set around the town.
- Fun Run: A 1.8-mile course open to all participants.
The Half Marathon is limited to 200 participants and includes a cut-off time of three hours. This route features rolling hills and quiet rural lanes. All participants who complete the distance receive a medal, and trophies are awarded to various age groups. The minimum age for entry is 17 years.
The 5K+ event is limited to 100 participants. It is a shorter course that offers prizes for overall winners and a medal for all finishers. The minimum age for this distance is 11 years.
The Fun Run does not have entry limits or age restrictions. However, participants under the age of 9 must be accompanied by an adult. All finishers of the Fun Run receive a medal.
