Courses and cutoffs
Each distance is a trail course with significant climbing. Listed elevation gains and cutoffs are:
- 50 Miles: about 10,000 ft gain, 15 hour cutoff
- 50K: about 6,200 ft gain, 11 hour cutoff
- Half Marathon: about 2,800 ft gain, 9 hour cutoff
- 10K: about 1,200 ft gain, 7.5 hour cutoff
The 50K and 10K start and finish at the BoSho trailhead by Hogle Zoo. The half marathon starts at Ensign Peak. Course descriptions note mountain foothill terrain and extensive climbing.
Prizes, awards and policies
Top 3 men and top 3 women are recognized at all distances, plus a final-mile award for the top man and woman per distance. A $3,000 prize purse is allocated to the 50K and half marathon fields, with specific payouts for first through third places; there is no prize purse for the 50 miler or 10K. Discounts are available for military and service members, first responders, and teachers with proof at bib pick-up. Refund policy: 50% refund on or before March 1, no refunds or deferrals thereafter, with 100% deferrals offered for pregnancy. Crew may access aid stations but parking is not guaranteed.
