Event overview
Salt Lake Foothills Trail Races take place in Salt Lake City, UT on Saturday, May 30, 2026. The event is presented by PATH Projects and is based near 2600 S Sunnyside Ave. Distances offered are 50 miles, 50K, half marathon, and 10K. Registration closes May 24 at 11:59 PM MT.
Distances and cutoffs
- 50 Miles - ~10,500' gain, 15 hour cutoff
- 50K - ~6,200' gain, 11 hour cutoff
- Half Marathon - ~2,800' gain, 9 hour cutoff
- 10K - ~1,350' gain, 7.5 hour cutoff
Course and results
The 50K and 10K start and finish at the BoSho trailhead by the Hogle Zoo. The half marathon starts at Ensign Peak. The 50 mile course is new for 2026. Podium awards are given to the top three men and top three women at all distances, plus a most-improved category for top three men and women. There is a total prize purse of $3,000 allocated to the 50K and half marathon; no prize purse is offered for the 50 miler or 10K.
Logistics and policies
Crew access is allowed at aid stations; parking is not guaranteed and crews may need to walk on local sidewalks or roads. Refund policy: 50% refund on or before March 1; no refunds or deferrals after that date. 100% deferrals are offered for pregnancy. For ADA reasonable accommodations contact the event organizer.
