Event Overview
The Sager Creek Triathlon takes place in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, centered around the JBU Walton Lifetime Health Complex. The event offers two primary distances:
- Sager Creek Triathlon Sprint
- Sager Creek Triathlon International
The competition begins with a swim held in a 25-yard pool. Participants in the International distance complete 600 yards (12 down-and-back laps), while Sprint participants complete 300 yards (6 down-and-back laps). After the swim, athletes transition by exiting the pool area through a hallway to reach the single transition area.
The bike course covers either 24 miles or 12 miles. The route leads out from the parking lot, through town, toward the city lake, and back. The terrain includes rolling hills and scenic views. Participants are advised to exercise caution when exiting the transition area due to a downhill start.
The run portion consists of either a 4-mile or 2-mile course. This leg utilizes the walking trails around the JBU campus, including the Dogwood Springs Walking Trail and local sidewalks. A steep hill is located on University Street midway through the run. The finish line is situated in the parking lot adjacent to the tennis courts. Parking is available directly in front of the health complex. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
