Sage Burner Trail Race
Sage Burner Trail Race takes place in the Hartman Rocks Recreation Area near Gunnison, Colorado, on October 3, 2026. The event offers multiple trail distances and is set in sage brush-covered hills with wide views of the Maroon Bells, the San Juan Mountains, and the Gunnison Basin.

The event partners with the Youth Trail Running Initiative, which focuses on athletes aged 14 to 19, and Trail Sisters, which aims to increase womxn participation in trail running. Organizers note a 15% registration discount is available by contacting them, and a portion of proceeds will be donated to Gunnison Trails, a local trail maintenance organization.
All participants receive a running hat by BOCO Gear, a commemorative finisher medal, and a Hydrapak collapsible reusable speed cup.
