RunTough 2026 : Saline, MI
RunTough returns for its 13th annual edition on September 27, 2026, with both an in person event at Saline High School's Hornet Stadium and virtual participation options. The event is organized by the ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation and focuses on participation, remembrance, and fundraising for pediatric brain cancer research. All proceeds support the foundation's research efforts.
Distances and formats include:
- 5K road race through the Saline High School campus and nearby neighborhood
- 1 Mile Fun Run out and back along Campus Drive
- Toddler Tot Sprint and toddler-sized shirts for ages 5 and under
- Virtual 5K with a mailed shirt option or a virtual entry without a shirt
Local packet pickup is scheduled the Friday before the event at the foundation office (201 W. Michigan Ave) and also at Hornet Stadium on event day. Participants who register by September 2 are guaranteed an event shirt; virtual registrations after September 2, 2026 may not receive mailed packets until October. A Family Fun Zone with kids games and activities will be located in the main Hornet Stadium for the local event. Please note that no dogs are permitted at the event.
RunTough has raised over $3 million and attracted more than 19,000 registrations since its inception. The event supports research into diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma and other pediatric brain cancers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
