Runtastic TIMP
Runtastic TIMP is an annual running event in American Fork, Utah, held at Art Dye Park with multiple race distances that support cancer research. The event features a USATF-certified downhill half marathon that begins near Tibble Fork Reservoir and finishes at Art Dye Park with an elevation drop of 1,691 feet.
Race distances:
- Half Marathon - USATF-certified downhill course finishing at Art Dye Park
- 10K - point to point with transportation from the finish area
- 5K - starts and finishes at Art Dye Park
- Kids Run - family friendly distance at Art Dye Park
The event includes pre-race tributes such as a predawn Light the Night moment and a Memory Mile where submitted signs line the final mile with names and photos honoring people affected by cancer. Runners may dedicate names on their bibs and order Proxy Medals for those they honor. A portion of each registration is donated to a local charity supporting cancer research.
Logistics include a Race Expo and packet pickup the day before at Art Dye Park, with a fee for same day packet pickup. Half Marathon participants are required to travel to the start by bus from the finish area; 10K runners have limited drop off options and no parking at the 10K start. Aid stations provide Re-Lyte, water, and GU at specified locations. Timing is provided by Laurel with chips on the bib, and event photographers provide free race photos. Finish area amenities include a finisher medal, post race food and drink, and award presentations for overall and age group placements.
