Runtastic TIMP
Runtastic TIMP is a running event held in American Fork, Utah, centered on supporting those impacted by cancer. A portion of every registration fee is donated to a local charity to support cancer research. The event features several distances to accommodate different participants:
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles)
- 10K (6.2 Miles)
- 5K (3.1 Miles)
- Kids Run (0.5 Miles)
The course takes participants through American Fork Canyon. Before the start of the races, runners gather at the Tibble Fork Reservoir for a pre-dawn tribute called Light the Night. During this ceremony, participants hold up lights and observe a moment of silence. This is followed by a live electric guitar performance of the National Anthem.
All race distances conclude by passing through the Memory Mile. This final section of the course is lined with tribute signs featuring the names and photos of individuals affected by cancer. Runners have the option to personalize their race bibs or order a Proxy Medal to give to another person. The event serves as a fundraiser and a community gathering to honor cancer fighters and survivors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
