Running of the Pilgrims 5K - Plymouth, MA
The Running of the Pilgrims is a 5K event held on Thanksgiving Day in Plymouth, Massachusetts. The event starts and finishes near Plymouth Rock and the DCR Pilgrim Memorial State Park on Water Street.
Registration is online only; there is no paper registration at pre-race pickup or on race day. Bib pickup is available in advance at Marathon Sports (9 Court Street, Plymouth) and at the starting area on race day. Online registration and bib pickup close before the race start. A shirt deadline is set for November 1; participants who register after that date may check at the finish for remaining shirts. Shirts not picked up before the race begins will be distributed at the finish and cannot be mailed.
Walkers are welcome. Running strollers should start at the back of the field. Dogs are not allowed on course. There will be no water stop on the course; water is available at the finish line. Water Street from Union Street to Brewster Street will be closed to traffic on race day and there is no parking in that area. Participants should consult local parking information for available lots and meters, as paid parking is in effect.
The race directs funds to local charities, including the South Shore Community Action Council food pantry and the Plymouth Family Resource Center. Awards for 1st through 3rd overall male and female and multiple age-group places are available; there is no awards ceremony on race day and winners may pick up awards afterward at Marathon Sports.
