Event overview
The 9th Annual Running of the Pilgrims is a road race held on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at DCR Pilgrim Memorial State Park / Plymouth Rock on Water Street in Plymouth, MA. The event features a single 5K distance. Walkers are welcome, running strollers should start in the back, and dogs are not permitted on the course.
Logistics and race details
All registration is online only; no paper registration will be available at pre-race pickup or on race day. The organizer lists tiered registration fees by category (Adult, Student, Senior, Youth) with earlier deadlines offering lower prices. Bib pickup is scheduled November 23–26 at Marathon Sports, 9 Court Street, Plymouth; race day pickup is available at the starting area but closes shortly before the race. The shirt order deadline is October 30, 2025.
There will be no water stop on the course; water will be available at the finish line. There will be no awards ceremony on race day; awards may be picked up afterward at Marathon Sports in Plymouth (award pickup includes a 15% in-store discount, excluding electronics). Prizes include 1st–3rd overall male and female and 1st–3rd in age groups from 10 & under through 80+.
