Running of the Pilgrims 5K - Plymouth
The Running of the Pilgrims is a community 5K held in Plymouth around the Thanksgiving holiday. The event directs proceeds to local organizations, including Wonderfund, South Shore Community Action Council for its food pantry program, and the Plymouth Family Resource Center.
All registration is online only; there is no paper registration at pre-race pickup or on race day. Bib pickup is available the days before the event at Marathon Sports, 9 Court Street, Plymouth, with multiple pickup days offered. Race day bib pickup and registration are handled at the starting area at the Pilgrim Memorial State Park / Plymouth Rock location.
Walkers are welcome. Running strollers should start at the back of the field. Dogs are not permitted. There is no water stop on the course, but water is available at the finish line. Water Street from Union Street to Brewster Street is closed to traffic on race day and there is no parking in that area. Participants should observe local paid parking rules for Plymouth.
Awards are given for 1st through 3rd overall male and female and across standard age-group divisions. There is no awards ceremony on race day; awards can be picked up later at Marathon Sports in Plymouth. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
