Event Overview
The Fort Wayne Running Club organizes the Runners on Pace 5k, presented by Fort Wayne Orthopedics. The event will be held for its second year on the sponsor's campus.
Race Details
The race is a 5k loop course. The route is mostly on roads and includes a straight stretch of paved trail in the final mile. The terrain is mainly flat with a short hill near the 2.6 mile mark.
The event offers cash prizes for overall winners in the open and masters divisions. Age group winners (top three) receive gift cards, and there are youth awards. A custom-designed race shirt is included for registrations received by July 5, 2026. Post-race refreshments and an awards presentation are held under a canopy.
Location & Logistics
The event takes place at 7601 W. Jefferson Blvd. in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The site is noted for easy parking access. The course borders the Eagle Marsh Nature Preserve.
Packet pickup is available on the Friday before the race at Fleet Feet Southwest from 2-7 PM. It is also available on race morning at the venue under the canopy starting at 6:30 AM. Late registration is offered at both packet pickup locations.
Participant Information
A water stop is provided on the course, and water is available at the finish line. Timing mats are used at the start, and participants are encouraged to self-seed based on their projected pace. Registration is limited to pre-registered runners. All participants must agree to an updated waiver. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
