Run4Health 2026
Run4Health is an annual community event focused on fitness and local support, with proceeds benefiting the Walkerton & District Hospital Foundation. The 16th edition of this event takes place at the Walkerton Agricultural Society in Ontario, featuring a variety of walking and running distances.
The event offers several categories for participants:
- Half Marathon Run
- 10K Run
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
- 1K Family Run/Walk
Participants have the option to join a Team Challenge, which is open to friends, families, co-workers, and schools. A trophy is awarded to the school team with the highest number of registered members. Individuals and teams can also engage in fundraising through personalized pledge pages to support hospital equipment and services.
Recognition is provided across various distances. Every finisher of the Half Marathon receives a medal, and children taking part in the 1K event receive a ribbon. For the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon races (including junior categories), the top three male and female finishers overall are recognized during an awards ceremony. The races utilize chip timing for accuracy. The event proceeds regardless of rain or sun, and registration transfers are permitted if a participant is unable to attend.
