Run With Your Heart Alpena
Run With Your Heart Alpena is a community charity race in Alpena, Michigan, held at the Northern Lights Arena north parking lot on June 20, 2026. The event includes a 5k and a 1 mile fun run/walk, with separate free entries for children 12 and under.

The course includes both trail and paved sections. T-shirts are available by preorder only for $20 and must be purchased before May 20; $5 from each shirt sale is donated to Children’s Hospital of Michigan. Preordered shirts are distributed at event check in on race day. T-shirts may also be shipped for an additional $5 through the race store.
Same-day registration is offered for $35, payable by cash or check to United Way of NE MI - Run United. The first 20 finishers in the 5k receive medals. Donations are accepted and checks may be made payable to United Way - Run United.
The event is held in memory of a person affected by congenital heart defects. All proceeds support the Children’s Hospital of Michigan pediatric cardiology unit. Participants are encouraged to wear red or blue in support of congenital heart defects awareness. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
