Run With Rob in Nova Scotia 2026
Run With Rob takes place in Nova Scotia from July 19 to August 1, 2026. The event is organized as a sequence of 14 ultramarathons over 14 days, running across the province to raise awareness and funds for congenital cytomegalovirus cCMV and newborn screening.
The 2026 effort builds on prior editions. Past routes included 506 kilometres across Manitoba in 2023, 548 kilometres through New Brunswick in 2024, and a run around Prince Edward Island in 2025. These previous runs provide context for the Nova Scotia crossing.
Information about the initiative notes that the Maritime provinces do not yet have routine newborn screening for cCMV and that early detection can change outcomes for affected infants. Training materials are listed for different preparation periods, including 12 week, 8 week, 6 week, and 4 week training guides. A petition in support of universal cCMV screening in Canada is also associated with the project.
The description focuses on factual elements: dates, location, the number of ultramarathon days, the public health objective of raising awareness for cCMV, and available training resources. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
