Run With Carl
Run With Carl is an annual Labor Day road race held in Bettendorf, Iowa, on September 7, 2026. The event was initiated in 1995 and has supported a memorial scholarship fund; local foundations and community organizations became involved to continue that tradition.
Races start and finish at Bettendorf Middle School, 2030 Middle Road. Courses run on city streets and the Bettendorf recreation path and include varied terrain with notable hills. Course protection, split timing, and water stops are provided. Professional timing and scoring will be used.
Distances and entry options include:
- 5K run and walk with long sleeve race shirt.
- 5 Mile run with long sleeve race shirt.
- Half mile fun run for children 12 and under with cotton short sleeve shirt.
Packet pick-up and late registration take place at Bettendorf Middle School cafeteria, Door 3W, on the days before the race. Shirt quantities are limited and shirts may also be purchased separately. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in the 5K and 5 Mile, first place masters in each race, and all kids fun run participants receive a medal.
