RUN Winschoten
The RUN Winschoten is an established international running event in the Netherlands. For its 50th anniversary in September 2026, the event features a two-day program in Winschoten and the Oldambt region. The competition includes a variety of distances held on officially measured, traffic-free courses.
Participants can choose from several running and walking disciplines:
- 100 km Ultraloop (includes the Dutch Championship)
- 50 km Ultraloop (includes the Dutch Championship)
- 42.195 km Marathon
- 10x10 km Relay (includes the National Championship for municipalities)
- 5 km RUN
- LutjeRUN (youth run with various distances)
- WandelRUN (walking distances of 10 km, 20 km, and 30 km)
The event infrastructure includes a central start and finish area at Sporthal Stikkerlaan, a dedicated runners' village for relay teams, and access to changing rooms, showers, and catering. For international participants in the ultra-distances (50 km and 100 km), options for meals and overnight stays with local host families are available.
