Run Wild 5K and Kids Run 2026
The event takes place on July 4, 2026 in Houston, Texas at 1141 Uptown Park Boulevard. It includes a main 5K Run/Walk and a separate kids run for participants age 12 and under.

The 5K is chip timed using a disposable tag distributed at packet pickup. Finish line video is provided free within a day of the event, and participants can receive near real time results by text or email. Race proceeds benefit Special Olympics Texas and Girls on the Run Greater Houston.
Registered participants receive event items while supplies last. Item examples listed by the organizer include a custom bib, finisher medal, tech tank with male and female cuts, sunglasses, running socks, and a free finish video. All kids receive a finisher medal, a tank, sunglasses, socks, a custom bib, and a superhero cape and mask. Tanks and shirts are ordered weeks before the event and sizes are not guaranteed; a limited number of tanks are distributed at packet pickup.
Logistics notes from the organizer include free parking at Uptown Park Plaza, packet pickup at a specified location in Houston on days before the event, a no pets and no wheeled vehicles rule for the 5K, and an allowance for strollers in the kids run only. Participants under 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Awards are offered by overall placement and by five year age groups.
