Run Wild 5K & Kids Run 2026
Run Wild 5K & Kids Run takes place on July 4, 2026 in Uptown Park, Houston, Texas. The event includes a chip-timed 5K and a separate children’s run for age 12 and under. Distances:
- 5K - 3.1 miles
- Kids run - roughly 0.6 mile, for age 12 and under
Participant kits and services include a custom bib, finisher medal, sunglasses, running socks, and a tech tank with male and female cuts for the first 1,125 packet pickups; tank sizes are not guaranteed. Timing uses a disposable tag distributed at packet pickup and near real time results are available by text or email. A free finish line video is provided after the event. Snacks, water and soft drinks will be available. Magnolia Brewing Co beer will be offered at the event.
Awards are given for overall and age-group places, including masters and top three in five-year age groups from youth to senior categories. Packet pickup is held at a nearby address in advance and on race day for out-of-town participants only. Due to city insurance requirements, no pets or wheeled vehicles are allowed in the 5K; strollers are permitted in the kids run only. Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian-signed waiver. No refunds or exchanges. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
