Run to the Rock : Marshfield, MA
Run to the Rock is a community road race with three distance options that start and finish at Furnace Brook Middle School, 500 Furnace Street, Marshfield, MA. Distances offered include:
- 5K
- 10K
- 1/2 Marathon
All registration is online only. Early bird, standard, and late registration pricing tiers apply for each distance. The deadline to request a race shirt is Wednesday, August 26; shirts are available at the start or at the finish line if supplies remain and are not mailed. Bib pickup is scheduled the day before at the Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield and on race morning at Furnace Brook Middle School.
Course notes: the 5K is primarily flat and out-and-back around the school and a neighborhood. The 10K goes through a low traffic neighborhood with a few short hills. The half marathon travels into North Marshfield and reaches the North River along Union Street. The half marathon has a three hour course time limit; the minimum age for the half marathon is 13.
On-course services include water stops for all distances, additional Gatorade on portions of the half marathon, restroom locations at the start and finish, and select points on the half marathon course. Awards are given to the overall top three male and female in each distance; age group awards are specified for the 5K, 10K, and half marathon. All finishers receive a Run to the Rock medal.
