Run to the Rock - Marshfield, MA
Run to the Rock is a road race that starts and finishes at Furnace Brook Middle School, 500 Furnace Street, Marshfield, MA. The event offers multiple distances and is organized with on-course services, awards and parking for participants and spectators.
Distances
- 5K - primarily flat out-and-back around the school and a quiet neighborhood
- 10K - route through a low traffic neighborhood toward the Pine Street area with a few hills
- 1/2 Marathon - course into North Marshfield reaching the North River along Union Street
All registration is online only; no paper registration will be available at pre-race pickup or on race day. Shirt orders require registration by August 26; shirts not picked up before the race begins will be distributed at the finish while supplies last and will not be mailed.
On-course hydration is provided: 5K has a water stop near the halfway point, 10K stops around miles 2, 4 and 5, and the half marathon has multiple water stops with Gatorade available at two locations. Bathrooms are available at the start and finish, with additional facilities on the half marathon course.
The half marathon has a 3 hour course time limit; finishers within that window receive an official finish time. Awards include overall top three male and female for each distance and age-group awards for 5K, 10K and the half marathon. Parking is behind Furnace Brook Middle School with overflow at the Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield. Volunteer opportunities are offered with options to receive a future race entry.
