Run to the Rock : Marshfield, MA
Run to the Rock is a road race held with start and finish at Furnace Brook Middle School in Marshfield, Massachusetts. The event offers three distances:
- 5K: out-and-back around the school and a quiet neighborhood.
- 10K: route through low-traffic residential areas with a few hills.
- 1/2 Marathon: extends into North Marshfield and reaches the North River along Union Street.
Registration was conducted online only for 2025 and was closed; the 2026 race is scheduled for September 12, 2026. The race provides on-course hydration: the 5K has a water stop near the halfway point; the 10K has multiple water stops; the half marathon has water approximately every two miles and includes Gatorade at selected locations. Drinks and snacks are available at the finish.
Shirts were available to registrants who met the published deadline; unclaimed shirts are distributed at the finish on a first-come, first-served basis and are not mailed. Number pickup occurs the Friday before at the Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield and the Saturday morning of the event at Furnace Brook Middle School.
The half marathon has a three hour course time limit; finishers within that limit receive an official time. Awards include overall top three male and female for each distance, 5K/10K age-group first-place awards, and top three age-group awards for the half marathon. Race-day parking is available at Furnace Brook Middle School with overflow at the Boys & Girls Club. The event supports the local Boys & Girls Clubs of Plymouth and Marshfield.
