Run to the Rescue
Run to the Rescue is an athletic event organized by the Brownsville Fire Department in Brownsville, Texas. This community event takes place at the Brownsville Events Center and offers two distinct participation options for runners and walkers.
The event features the following distances:
- 5K run
- 1 Mile run
The run is also referred to as the Super Hero run, and all profits are dedicated to the Brownsville Fire Department Annual Christmas with the Fire Fighters toy drive. Registration is open to individual age group and open categories. The event has a set capacity with a limit of 300 total participants.
Participants can collect their event packages at Brownsville Fire Station 9 on East Alton Gloor Boulevard two days before the event. Package pickup is also available on the day of the run at the main venue. While the event allows for on-site late registrations, medals and shirts for late entries are subject to availability and provided while supplies last.
