Run to Remember memorial event
The 4th Annual Run to Remember takes place on June 5, 2027 at Crivitz Community Veterans Park - Shaffer Pavilion, 515 Park Place, Crivitz, WI. The event is a memorial to veterans who died by suicide related to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and aims to raise awareness about veteran suicide and PTSD while supporting H.O.O.A.H. WI, an organization dedicated to preventing veteran suicide.
The event offers multiple race options and a dedicated family category. Several veteran support organizations will be present with individual information tables to share resources and information about coping with and overcoming PTSD.
Distances and categories:
- 5K (3.1 miles), registration fee $20
- 1 Mile, registration fee $20
- Kids Run/Walk, 5K or 1 Mile distance, registration fee $15
- 15 and under Run/Walk, free for ages 11 and under
The program emphasizes community resources and information rather than competition. The presence of multiple support organizations provides attendees with access to educational materials and referrals related to veteran mental health and suicide prevention.
