Run to Remember - Sykesville, MD
Run to Remember is a memorial trail event held at Piney Run Park, 30 Martz Rd, Sykesville, MD. The event was created to honor members who have been lost and includes a display area for posters dedicated to loved ones.
The course is a 5.25 mile loop through woods and meadows with lake views along about half of the route. The loop layout places a well stocked aid station at the transition of each lap and two places to pass a water stop on the course. Fees are nonrefundable and the event runs rain or shine. Optional apparel is available for purchase.
Race fees include park entrance, a race hat or visor, and a finisher medal. Completing the 50K also yields a custom mug. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers for the listed races. The eight hour challenge is scored by laps completed and awards are given to the top three male and top three female participants by laps and time. Membership promo codes are available to ERR members. Packet pick up is scheduled the day before the event at Otzi Mediterranean Restaurant in Eldersburg.
