Run to Remember - Sykesville

Run to Remember is a memorial road/trail event held at Piney Run Park, 30 Martz Rd, Sykesville, MD. The event includes multiple distance options run on a 5.25 mile loop that passes through woods and meadows and shows the lake on about half of the course.

Distances:

• 50K: six laps of the 5.25 mile loop.
• 25K: three laps of the 5.25 mile loop.
• 5 Miler: one lap of the 5.25 mile loop.
• 8 Hour Challenge: as many laps as a participant completes within eight hours.

The course features two locations to pass a water stop and a well stocked aid station at the transition of each loop offering a variety of food and drinks. Organizers dedicate a portion of the event to posters commemorating lost loved ones; details are available from the organizers.

Race fees include park entrance, a custom ice bandana, and a unique Run to Remember ceramic mug. Medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each race. The event is rain or shine, all fees are nonrefundable, and there is no race day registration. Registration closes April 14; packet pickup is scheduled April 16 at Otzi Mediterranean Restaurant, 20A Liberty Rd, Eldersburg MD.
