Run Through Time Trail Marathon and Half Marathon
The 22nd annual Run Through Time Trail races take place on March 13, 2027, in Salida, Colorado. The event includes the following distances:
- Marathon
- Half marathon
- 2 mile run
- Kids 400 meter run in Riverside Park
Courses run on dirt and jeep roads and on narrow, hilly single track with views of Salida and the Arkansas Valley. Elevations on course range from 7000 to 9000 feet. The races use the Arkansas Hills Trail System, Bureau of Land Management and Forest Service land, and Chaffee County and City of Salida roads and property. Foot travel only.
There is a 7.5 hour time limit for the marathon and a 5 hour time limit for the half marathon. Crews and pacers are not permitted. The combined field limit for the half and full marathon is 500 runners, split mostly evenly between the two events. Prizes are awarded to the top three men and top three women in each race and to the top three finishers in each 10 year age group. Registered runners receive custom race socks. A light hot meal will be available at the finish for contestants.
Registration opens on November 1. Race results will be updated live during the event. The Salida Scout Hut at 210 East Sackett Avenue serves as packet pickup and the finish area; the race start is about 200 meters away. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
