Event Overview
The 21st Annual Run Through Time takes place in Salida, Colorado, utilizing the Arkansas Hills Trail System, BLM and Forest Service land, and various local roads. The event offers three distinct distances on terrain consisting of a mixture of single track trails, dirt roads, and jeep roads. The courses provide views of Salida and the Arkansas Valley.
Distances
- 26.2 Miles: Features approximately 4,000 feet of elevation gain and loss with a high point of 9,000 feet.
- 13.1 Miles: Features approximately 2,000 feet of elevation gain and loss with a high point of 7,850 feet.
- 2 Miles: A loop on dirt roads that begins and ends at the same location.
Race Details
The marathon and half marathon have a combined participant limit of 500 runners, with approximately 250 spots allocated to each distance. The marathon has a 7.5 hour time cutoff, while the half marathon has a 5 hour time cutoff. No crews or pacers are permitted on either the marathon or half marathon courses.
Registration fees for the marathon and half marathon include custom race socks, awards, and a light post-race meal. The 2 mile run includes custom race socks but does not include awards or post-race food. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in each race, as well as the top three finishers in 10-year age groups.
