Event overview
The 21st Annual Run Through Time Trail Marathon and Half Marathon is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026, in Salida, Colorado. The event includes multiple race distances and a free kids' 400 meter run in Riverside Park. Registration opens on November 1. There is a combined entry limit of 500 for the full and half marathon, split mostly evenly between the two races. Prizes will be awarded to the top three men and top three women in each race, plus top three male and female finishers in each 10-year age group. All registered runners receive custom race socks, and a light hot meal will be available at the finish for contestants. Proceeds from the event are donated to Salida Mountain Trails and Chaffee County Search and Rescue-South; over the last eight years more than $40,000 has been donated.

Course and logistics
Courses are on dirt and jeep roads and on narrow, hilly single track, with views of Salida and the Arkansas Valley. Elevations on the course range from 7000-9000 feet. Foot travel only; no crews or pacers are allowed on either course. Time limits are 7 1/2 hours for the marathon and 5 hours for the half marathon. The race uses the Arkansas Hills Trail System, BLM and Forest Service land, and Chaffee County and City of Salida roads and property. Race day packet pickup, restrooms, and the finish location are at the Salida Scout Hut, 210 East Sackett Avenue, Salida, CO.
