Run Through Time Trail Marathon and Half Marathon
The 21st Annual Run Through Time takes place in Salida, Colorado on March 14, 2026. The event includes a full trail marathon, a half marathon, a 2 mile run, and a free kids 400 meter run held in Riverside Park. Registration opens on November 1.
Courses run on dirt and jeep roads and on narrow, hilly single track with views of Salida and the Arkansas Valley. Elevations on course range from 7000 to 9000 feet. Foot travel only. The marathon has a 7.5 hour time limit and the half marathon has a 5 hour time limit. Crews and pacers are not allowed on either course.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three men and top three women overall in each race, and to the top three men and women in each 10 year age group. All registered runners receive custom race socks and a light hot meal will be available at the finish. There is a 500 person combined limit for the half marathon and full marathon, split mostly evenly between the two events.
The race uses the Arkansas Hills Trail System, Bureau of Land Management and Forest Service land, and Chaffee County and City of Salida roads and property. Portions of race proceeds are donated to Salida Mountain Trails and Chaffee County Search and Rescue South; over the last eight years more than $40,000 has been donated.
