22nd Annual Run Through Time Trail Marathon and Half Marathon
The event takes place on Saturday March 13, 2027 in Salida, CO. Registration opens on November 1. Packet pickup and the finish area are at the Salida Scout Hut, 210 East Sackett Avenue. The race start is about 200 meters away across F Street bridge and the railroad tracks.
Courses run on dirt and jeep roads and on narrow, hilly single track. Runners will see views of Salida and the Arkansas Valley. Elevation on course ranges from 7000 to 9000 feet. The race is foot travel only and uses the Arkansas Hills Trail System, BLM and Forest Service land, and Chaffee County and City of Salida roads and property.
There is a seven and a half hour time limit for the marathon and a five hour time limit for the half marathon. No crews or pacers are allowed on either course. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers in each race, and to the top three male and top three female finishers in each ten year age group. A light hot meal will be available at the finish for contestants. All registered runners receive custom race socks. Entry for the combined marathon and half marathon is limited to 500 participants, split mostly evenly.
