Run the Rock
Run the Rock is an annual multi-distance event held in Janesville, Wisconsin. The 2026 edition marks the fourth year of the competition. The event serves as a fundraiser, with all proceeds donated to the Isaac Strong Foundation to support children diagnosed with cancer. Races begin in downtown Janesville on Festival Street.
Participants can choose from a wide range of distances and event types:
- Full Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- 2 Mile Family Run/Walk (untimed)
- Isaac's Super Dash
The courses feature several aid stations located at points such as the Ice Age Trail, Palmer Park, and Optimist Park. Professional timing services are provided for the competitive distances, while the family run remains untimed. All participants receive a commemorative event shirt and a finisher medal.
Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in each timed distance at the start-finish line area. The event has a total course cutoff time of 12:30 pm. Packet pick-up is available both on the Saturday prior at a local insurance agency and on the morning of the event at the start line. Multiple public parking lots are situated near the venue, including the City Hall lot and several structures on Wall Street and Milwaukee Street.
