Run the Rock invites runners of all levels to downtown Janesville for marathon, half, 10K, 5K and family runs with start and finish on Festival Street. All proceeds benefit the Isaac Strong Foundation to support kids fighting cancer, and every participant gets a commemorative shirt and finisher medal.

Run the Rock (April 26, 2026)

Run the Rock is a multi-distance road race held in downtown Janesville, with the start and finish on Festival Street. Distances offered include:

  • Full Marathon
  • Half Marathon
  • 10K
  • 5K
  • 2 Mile Family Run/Walk (untimed)
  • Isaac's Super Dash

All race proceeds will be donated to the Isaac Strong Foundation to support children fighting cancer. All participants receive a commemorative event shirt and a finisher medal; shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by 4/6/26. Professional race timing is provided by Velocity Multi-Sport & Cycling. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers in each distance and are presented at Festival Street.

Course, aid stations and logistics

Races begin in downtown Janesville and route maps are provided for each distance. Aid stations on the full marathon route are located at multiple marked miles, including Palmer Park and Ice Age Trail/Main St, with additional aid locations listed for the half, 10K and 5K routes. Packet pick-up is scheduled on the Saturday before the event at a local State Farm Insurance Agency, 1341 N. Wright Rd., Janesville, WI 53546 (12 pm - 3 pm). Available parking includes the State Farm lot, Velocity Multi-Sport & Cycling lot, on-street parking, and several public parking lots near the start/finish on S. River.
