Run the Rainbow for Children’s
Run the Rainbow for Children’s is the fifth annual St Paddy’s race held on March 13, 2027 to support Children’s of Mississippi, the state’s only children’s hospital. The event includes multiple road-running routes that pass through parts of Jackson and the University of Mississippi Medical Center campus.
Routes include:
- 5K route beginning and ending at Hal & Mal's in downtown Jackson
- 10K route through downtown Jackson and Belhaven
- Half marathon route through Eastover and UMMC campus
- Full marathon route through downtown, Belhaven, Eastover, and UMMC campus
The registration fee and all event proceeds benefit Children’s of Mississippi. Registration includes a race T-shirt, admission to an after party at Hal & Mal’s, live music, and a drink ticket. Finishers receive medals, and the event awards overall trophies as well as awards for masters, grand masters, great grand masters, and age groups.
The course notes that runners will pass the Kathy and Joe Sanderson Tower at Children’s of Mississippi while on the UMMC campus. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
