Event overview
Run the Rainbow for Children’s is the 4th annual St. Paddy’s race held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, in Jackson, Mississippi. The event supports Children’s of Mississippi, the state’s only children’s hospital, and event proceeds will benefit the hospital. Routes run through downtown Jackson, Belhaven, Eastover, and the University of Mississippi Medical Center campus, and the 5K begins and ends at Hal & Mal’s in downtown Jackson. Online registration closes Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 6 p.m.; to be guaranteed a shirt, registration must be completed by March 2, 2026.

Registration fee includes a race T-shirt, admission to an after-party at Hal & Mal’s, live music, and a drink ticket. All finishers receive medals. Overall trophies will be awarded for overall placements and in categories including masters, grand masters, great grand masters, and age groups. RV and camper spaces are available at the Mississippi State Fairgrounds on a first-come, first-served basis, with more than 150 hookups.
