Run the Rainbow for Children's
Run the Rainbow is the fourth annual St. Paddy’s race presented by the University of Mississippi Medical Center on March 21, 2026 in Jackson, Mississippi. The event raises funds for Children’s of Mississippi, the state’s only children’s hospital, to support state-of-the-art care for children in need.
The event program includes multiple distance options and course variations. The 5K begins and ends at Hal & Mal’s in downtown Jackson. Other routes run through downtown Jackson, Belhaven, Eastover, and the University of Mississippi Medical Center campus, where participants pass the Kathy and Joe Sanderson Tower at Children’s of Mississippi.
Registration includes a race T-shirt, admission to a St. Paddy’s after-party at Hal & Mal’s, live music, and a drink ticket. Every walker and runner receives a finisher medal. Overall trophies will be awarded to overalls, masters, grand masters, great grand masters, and there are age group awards.
The event also lists virtual race options, a kids fun run, an Ultra Marathon 50K, an early start marathon option, and a non-running entry that includes the event T-shirt and after-party admission. Camping is available at the Mississippi State Fairgrounds with RV hookups on a first-come, first-served basis. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
