Run the Lighthouse - Wilsons Promontory
Run the Lighthouse is scheduled for 20 February 2027 at Tidal River, Wilsons Promontory VIC 3960. The event offers multiple trail distances and is presented as a family friendly weekend with activities around the Tidal River camping area.
Distances offered:
- 6 km crosses Tidal River and follows the Tidal Lookout Track to loop back.
- 21 km follows the coast then turns inland to Telegraph Track Junction and returns.
- 42 km follows the 21 km route and includes a climb of Mt Oberon.
- 50 km goes to the lighthouse and returns via Waterloo Bay and the southern tip of the promontory.
- 75 km follows the 50 km route and includes a climb of Mt Oberon.
The course is unmarked and requires navigation using a map or app. Organisers provide an event guide and a tracker app guide. Mandatory gear is required for participation and incomplete gear results in no race start. The 50 km and 75 km options are noted as requiring a level of experience to ensure safe completion.
Fees vary by distance and by registration period, include GST, and incur additional Humanitix booking fees at check out. Registration on the day is available at prices up to 15 percent higher than late fees. Accommodation inside the promontory is limited and a waitlist operates for cancellations.
