Event Overview
Run Tarra Bulga is a trail running event held within and around Tarra-Bulga National Park in Balook, Victoria, approximately 1.5 to 2 hours drive east of Melbourne. The event takes place on April 11th, 2026. The national park is known for its cool temperate rainforests, giant Mountain Ash trees, fern gullies, and ancient myrtle beeches. A course feature is the Corrigan’s Suspension Bridge, which stretches through the rainforest canopy. The event acknowledges the park is on Brataualung Country and is significant to Gunaikurnai Traditional Owners.
Distances
The event offers four trail running distances.
- 42.3 km with 1810m of elevation. It has a 9-hour cutoff and 4 aid stations (5 water points).
- 25.4 km with 1230m of elevation. It has a 7.5-hour cutoff and 2 aid stations (3 water points).
- 6.8 km with 315m of elevation. It has a 3-hour cutoff and no aid stations (1 water point at the finish).
- 2.5 km with 120m of elevation. It has a 1.5-hour cutoff and no aid stations (1 water point at the finish).
