Event Overview
The 2nd Annual Run Like Abe 5k Run & Walk takes place on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the Falfurrias Jersey Bull Stadium in Falfurrias, Texas.
Distances and Fees
The event offers a 5k run and a 5k walk, both priced at $20. A Kids Run for participants 10 and under is also available for $5.
Registration and Packet Pickup
Preregistration and same-day registration are available. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, March 27, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the New Covenant Church on 110 Magnolia Heights in Falfurrias. Same-day registration is available from 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. at the event venue.
Awards and Participant Items
Age group awards are given in the categories 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Medals are awarded to the top three male and female winners in each age category, with trophies for the overall male and female winners. Preregistered participants who sign up by March 15th are guaranteed a shirt and a participation medal. These items are not guaranteed for registrations after that date.
