Run Like a Viking 5K
Run Like a Viking is a themed community road race held in Pleasant Grove, Utah on Saturday, October 10th. The event features a main 5K and a Kids Half Mile and uses the northwest corner of Downtown Park at 100 S Main St as the start and finish area.
Participants are encouraged to wear Viking apparel. Costume prizes will be awarded, and there are specific race awards: first place male and female winners each receive a Viking axe and a locally crafted Viking goblet; male and female second and third place finishers receive locally crafted Viking tankards. Kids half mile first through third place also receive locally crafted Viking tankards.
Registration is open through October 9th at 8 PM; day-of registration is available for an additional $20. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, October 9th, from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Pleasant Grove Recreation Center. Entry fees listed are $40 for the 5K and $15 for the Kids Half Mile.
All racers receive a t-shirt and a medal. Additional race items include a one-of-a-kind Viking medal, a race jersey, and a sticker. A Viking festival follows the race with vendors, food trucks, a Strongman competition, entertainment, and other activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
