Run for the Ranch 5K
The Run for the Ranch 5K is a community sports event held in Pico Rivera, California. The race course begins and ends at El Rancho High School. Participants follow a path toward the San Gabriel River spreading grounds before returning to the school campus. The final segment of the race takes place on the all-weather track at the Don Memorial Stadium, where runners cross the finish line.
The event features the following distances:
- 5K
- 150m (Don Dash Kids Run)
The 5K event is professionally chip-timed, and results are documented for all participants. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers across various age categories. These categories range from children aged 6 to 8 to adults aged 70 and older.
The 150m Don Dash is a specific event reserved for children under the age of 10. This short dash is held on the same day, allowing younger participants to reach the finish line before the primary race begins. Registration for this distance includes a t-shirt if completed by the specific deadline of May 1.
The event serves as a fundraiser for the El Rancho Associated Student Body (ASB). All proceeds are used to support student activities, leadership programs, and school spirit initiatives within the El Rancho Unified School District. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
