Run for the Ranch! 5K Run/Walk & Resource Fair
The Run for the Ranch is a community event held in Pico Rivera, California. The event takes place at El Rancho High School and serves as a fundraiser for the El Rancho Associated Student Body. Proceeds are directed toward supporting student activities, leadership programs, and school spirit initiatives within the El Rancho Unified School District.
The course begins and ends at the high school campus. Participants follow a route toward the San Gabriel River spreading grounds. The final segment of the race brings runners back to the Don Memorial Stadium, where they cross the finish line on an all-weather track.
Available distances include:
- 5K run/walk
- 150m "Don Dash" kids run (for children under 10)
The 5K race is professionally chip-timed, and results are documented online. Awards are designated for the top three male and female finishers across several age categories, ranging from ages 6 to over 70. Participants in the 150m dash have the opportunity to complete their run prior to the start of the main event. Those who register for the kids run by May 1 receive a t-shirt.
