Run for the Paws 5k Run/Walk - Madisonville
The Run for the Paws 5k Run/Walk is the third annual fundraising event for the Hopkins County Humane Society, held at Madisonville City Park (playground area), 755 Park Avenue, Madisonville, KY 42431. The event includes multiple distances and a kids fun run.

Proceeds support the Hopkins County Humane Society, including medical care, shelter operations, and the long-term goal of rebuilding a permanent facility after the loss of the previous shelter. The organization reports that temporary shelter updates are nearly complete and that funds from the event will contribute to ongoing needs.
The event is family friendly. Strollers and leashed dogs are welcome, with a request that walkers, strollers, and dogs start behind runners and that participants clean up after pets. Packet pick-up is available the day before and on race morning. A guaranteed race t-shirt requires registration before May 15. Parking is available in designated areas.
