Run for the Kids 5K Run and 2K Walk
Grace-In-Motion presents the 13th annual Run for the Kids in Ross Dock, Fort Lee, New Jersey on October 10, 2026. Since 2012 the organization has raised over $200,000 to support education and human dignity in underserved communities.
Event distances
- 5K Run: USATF certified, timed with disposable chips, course along the Hudson River towpath.
- 2K Walk: Scenic walk with views of the George Washington Bridge and New York City skyline.
The event day includes a community fair with local organizations, children’s programs such as obstacle courses, face painting and carnival games, a raffle fundraiser with prize opportunities, and food and drinks for purchase. Purchases contribute to the event mission.
One hundred percent of proceeds from this edition are designated to build emergency family homes in Panama, in partnership with the Abraham Project. Early registration fees are listed as $40 for the 5K or 2K and $20 for children ages 4 to 12; prices increase after 9/30.
