Run For The Brains : Stockton, CA
Run For The Brains is a fundraising running and walking event held on October 31, 2026, at Lincoln Center in Stockton. The event raises funds and awareness for stroke prevention, brain health, and stroke recovery, with support for Healings in Motion. The event was formerly known as Brain Health to Beat Stroke.
The event program includes multiple distances and formats:
- 1K Survivor Champion Walk
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles, double loop)
- Virtual 5K (participants may complete the distance remotely between October 30 and November 1)
- Little Zombie 1K (12 and under)
The in-person 5K and 10K courses begin on Ben Holt Drive at Lincoln Center, run west toward Lincoln High School, and return to the finish area. The finish area includes themed music, trick-or-treating activities, thriller dance competitions, and community giveaways. The Survivor Champion Walk follows the north side of Lincoln Center and is intended for stroke survivors and people recovering from brain injury. Virtual participants complete the course remotely within the event window; virtual results are not combined with in-person results.
Packet pickup is available at a local running store on the day before the event and at the registration tent on event day. In-person 5K and 10K results include overall male and female winners and age-group award categories from 12 and under through 80 and above.
