Run for the Bagel
Run for the Bagel is the 39th annual road-race event held in Mattoon, Illinois. The event features multiple race options and a finish-line celebration with Lender's Bagels. Registrations submitted before June 28th are guaranteed a race shirt.
Race options include:
- One Mile Fun Run : 1 mile
- 5K : 3.1 miles
- 10K : 6.2 miles
- Virtual 5K : 3.1 miles; shipping fee included for finisher medal and swag
Published registration fees list $35 for the 5K and 10K, $15 for the One Mile, and $40 for the Virtual 5K. Race day registration is listed at $40. The course runs through Lytle Park and around Mattoon. The event location is given as 221 N 16th St, Mattoon, IL 61938.
Parking is available at the YMCA, the Train Depot, and in downtown Mattoon. Awards are presented to overall male and female finishers and to the top three in each gender/age group.
