About the race
Run for Sobriety 2026 is the sixth annual community fundraiser in Langley, British Columbia, held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Noel Booth Elementary School (20202 35 Ave, Langley, BC V3A 0N1).
The event offers the following distances:
- 10 km
- 5 km
The race combines running and fundraising to support two charities: Canadian Mental Health Association - BC and The Running on Faith Project. The event has raised CA$8,222.18 toward a CA$30,000 goal, representing 27% of the target. All net proceeds will be donated to those charities.
Package pick-up is available before race day at New Balance Langley and on race morning at Noel Booth Elementary. T-shirt orders must be placed by Saturday, September 12; shirts will be distributed at package pick-up. There is no gear check at the event. Registration is final and non-refundable. Registration fee structure is tiered by date: CA$40 (May 4 to June 30), CA$45 (July 1 to August 31), and CA$50 (September 1 to October 4). Ten dollars of each registration covers event costs, and the remainder is a minimum donation directed to the chosen charity.
Post-race activities include a complimentary barbecue provided by South Point Real Estate Team, live music, draw prizes and awards. Each participant receives a 15% in-store coupon for New Balance Langley, a race bib, a 2026 finisher medal, a free barbecue and a Run for Sobriety branded cookie. Sponsors include New Balance Langley, Back on Track Recovery, Vancity, Sagen, Sugar Fever Bakery, Last Door Recovery Society, Together We Can and others.
