20th Annual Run for Riley 5 Mile & 5K
The event takes place on October 4, 2026 in Fort Wayne and is organized by the Fort Wayne Running Club to support Riley Children's Hospital. The venue is Maple Creek Middle School, 425 Union Chapel Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46845.
Participants may choose between the following distances:
- 5 Mile chip timed race
- 5K run/walk
Both events begin at Maple Creek Middle School and follow the paved trails of the Fort Wayne Greenway. The course splits so that 5 Mile participants follow one route and 5K participants follow another route, and all participants finish on the school track.
Registration opens December 20, 2025 and closes May 1, 2026. The listed registration fee is $25.00 for each event.
After the races, activities are held in the school cafeteria. Those activities include a silent auction, awards for the 5 Mile race, treats and snacks, and an announcement of the donation total to Riley Hospital. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
