Fourth Annual Run for Resilience
The Run for Resilience returns to Queen Creek, Arizona, for its fourth annual edition at Pecan Lake Entertainment. This family friendly event is organized by the Rotary Club of Queen Creek and focuses on raising awareness for teen mental health. Participants can choose between several distances:
- 10K Run/Walk
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Walk
The event is open to all skill levels. Participants receive a custom event dri-fit shirt and a finisher's medal. A pre- and post-race brunch featuring items such as granola bars, fruit, water, and Gatorade is provided. For the 10K and 5K distances, age group awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in various categories, ranging from ages 8 and under to 80 and over.
The course features real-time results and photos. While leashed pets are welcome to attend, the event organizers do not recommend strollers or wheelchairs due to the nature of the course. Bicycles, roller blades, skateboards, and motorized devices are prohibited. Registration discounts are available for participants aged 18 and younger. Proceeds from the event support local efforts to improve youth mental resilience and provide funding for mental health counseling through the Hope Mental Health Foundation.
