Run for Dignity - Cape Town
Run for Dignity is scheduled for 1 August 2026 and is hosted by Girls With Wiings. The event marks Women’s Month and aims to raise sanitary pads for women and girls in need while offering a social, community-focused run and walk along the promenade.
The event offers the following distances:
- 5 km fun run and walk along the promenade
- 10 km fun run and walk along the promenade
The entry fee is R50 per person. Refreshments will be provided and there are prizes to be won. Limited Girls With Wiings caps and T-shirts will be available for sale.
All funds raised will go towards Girls With Wiings to purchase sanitary pads for women and girls in need. Girls With Wiings is a Cape Town based, women led organisation that works to restore dignity and provide practical, community driven solutions addressing period poverty and unemployment among homeless and underprivileged women.
