Run for Catron County : Quemado, NM
Run for Catron County is scheduled for August 28, 2026 at Quemado High School, 3484 US-60, Quemado, NM 87829. The event offers two course options:
- 5K (3.1 Miles)
- 1 Mile Fun Walk/Run (1 Mile)
Registration opens May 26, 2026 and closes August 12, 2026. Fee structure listed by the organizer includes early registration through August 11 at $35, late and race day registration at $40, children under 12 at $25, active military and law enforcement discounted at $30, and team registration at $30 with no team registration on race day.
Early packet pickup is Thursday, August 20, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Quemado High School. Race day packet pickup is available starting at 7:45 a.m.
Awards and on-course amenities noted by the organizer include food and refreshments at the finish line, a finisher medal for the first 100 5K finishers, trophies for the top three overall male and female 5K finishers, and medals for the top three 5K finishers in each age group. Age groups for 5K medals are 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. Proceeds benefit Catron County.
