Run Branch County 5k & Half Marathon
The third annual Run Branch County 5k & Half Marathon takes place in Coldwater, MI on Sunday, September 6, 2026. The event includes a 5K, a half marathon, and a free Kids 50 yard dash. The race start and finish are at the Dr. Robert W. Browne Recreation Center, 1776 Heritage Drive, Coldwater.

Registration fees change by date: early pricing for the 5K and half marathon is listed through July and August with higher race day fees. A group discount of five dollars applies when three or more people register together. T-shirts are provided to 5K and half marathon registrants who register by August 1; shirts are dri fit, purple with a black logo, and offered in adult sizes XS through 2XL while supplies last. All 5K and half marathon finishers receive a finisher medal.
Aid stations and restrooms are placed along the courses; the 5K has an aid station at the 1.5 mile mark, and the half marathon has multiple stations with water, Gatorade, and restrooms at specified mile marks. Packet pickup is scheduled Saturday September 5 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the recreation center and on race morning during a designated window. Awards for top three males and females are given in standard age groups for both distances. Proceeds support local athletic organizations that promote youth participation. Food vendors will be onsite and the recreation area offers basketball courts, sand volleyball, pickle ball and tennis courts, a disc golf course, and a children's playground.
