Run Ballybunion 2026
Run Ballybunion takes place on Easter Saturday, 4 April 2026, in Ballybunion, Co Kerry, marking the event's 17th anniversary. The event includes multiple race distances and a separate Kids Fun Run. All entrants receive a commemorative Tec T-Shirt and a medal.
The event provides chip timing for the Half Marathon, 10K and 5K events. Personal race times will be available online within hours of finishing. Prizes are awarded 1st to 3rd place overall for men and women in each event, and first place prizes are presented in the over 40s, over 50s and over 60s categories.
A Virtual Run Ballybunion option is offered for participants who cannot attend in person. Virtual entrants select a Virtual Entry, may request a T-Shirt and medal for delivery subject to availability and provide an address, and complete their chosen distance remotely. Virtual entries do not grant access to the in-person event and no timing will be provided for virtual performances.
Ballybunion Sea & Cliff Rescue, an all-volunteer service, provides health and safety support using its personnel and equipment. All profit generated by the event will be donated to Ballybunion Sea & Cliff Rescue. A fundraising option is available for those who wish to raise money for the rescue service.
