Run 4 The River Half Marathon
The Run 4 The River Half Marathon takes place on Saturday, September 5, 2026, in Schenectady County, NY. The course follows the Empire Trail on a net downhill route from Rotterdam to Schenectady, starting at Mabee Farm and finishing at Frog Alley Brewing. A post-race party with live music is planned at the finish.
The event is produced in partnership between Nark Running Strategies, ARE Event Productions, and Schenectady County. Entry fees vary by date: $50 until January 1, $65 through March 15, $75 from March 16 through May 15, $85 from May 16 through July 15, and $95 from July 16 through race day.
Logistics note that this is a point to point race with parking available at both the start and the finish; participants are encouraged to carpool or spot cars. An optional shuttle service from the finish back to the start is available for $10 per person. Gear check is offered at the start; entrants receive a bag expected to fit a pair of shoes, a change of clothes, and other small items and the bag will be transported to the finish.
Packet pick-up is scheduled for Thursday 8/28 and Friday 8/29 at Nark Running & Strength (21A Railroad Ave, Albany, NY 12205) and on Saturday 8/30 at the start line. A course map is provided by the organizers.
Elite complimentary entry is available for athletes meeting specified time standards since 1/1/2020. Overall prizes award the top three male and female finishers $300, $200, and $100; age-group awards go to the top three male and female in 19-and-under and ten-year age groups to 70-plus.
For $12, registration insurance refunds the paid entry fee (excluding the $12 and processing fee) if a refund request is emailed prior to 11:59:59 PM ET on Sept 2; refunds are not available after 12:00 AM ET on Sept 3. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
