About the race
Katanning Run 4 Resilience 2026 is a community-focused running event held on Sunday 16 August 2026 at 28694 Great Southern Highway, Katanning WA 6317, Australia. The event takes place across rural, cross-country style terrain that includes paddocks and creek-side sections on working farms and aims to support wellbeing in small rural communities.
Multiple distance options are offered to accommodate a range of participant goals and abilities:
- 3 km Push, Walk or Roll
- 3 km Run
- 7 km Run, Jog or Walk
- 14 km (2 laps) Run or Jog/Walk
- 21 km Half Marathon
Electronic transponder timing is used and disposable race number bibs include timing tags. Participants must wear bibs at waist height on the outside front of clothing so timing is recorded. Event logistics note course laps for the 14 km and timing procedures at lap and finish points, and officials should be informed of any entry changes or if a participant withdraws.
The event is organised with involvement from Active Farmers and Fat Farmers Ltd and lists a range of local sponsors. Fundraising activity and participant fundraising pages are part of the event structure, with an organisational fundraising goal shown.
