About the race
Ruck 4 Freedom is scheduled for February 27, 2027 at Schnepf Farms in Queen Creek, Arizona. The event offers multiple participation formats, a fundraising element for The Hope Foundation, and both on-site and virtual options.
The event features these distance and division options:
- 5K run/walk with Honorary Ruck and Competitive Ruck divisions
- 10K run with Honorary Ruck and Competitive Ruck divisions
- Virtual Ruck choose a 5K, 10K, or Ruck Division from any location
Competitive ruck divisions require participants to carry a minimum dry weight; women are required to carry at least 15 lb and men must meet the event's stated minimum. Rucks will be weighed before and/or after the event for eligibility in competitive awards.
All participants receive a custom event medal. A custom Dri-Fit tech T-shirt is provided for the first 800 registered participants. Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers in each age group. Age groups include 12 and under, 13-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus.
