2026 Royal Parks Half Marathon
The Royal Parks Half Marathon is a long-distance running event held on closed roads in the heart of London. The course takes participants through four of the city's Royal Parks and passes several world-famous landmarks.
The event features a single distance:
- 21.1 km (Half Marathon)
Participants can access the event through multiple entry methods. The Royal Parks charity offers dedicated fundraising places which require a registration fee and a minimum sponsorship commitment. Alternatively, those who secure a race entry through the public ballot may also choose to support the charity without a minimum sponsorship target.
The route is designed to be scenic, covering historic parkland that is home to 170,000 trees and 7,000 species of wildlife. To support sustainability efforts and reduce carbon emissions, the organizers limit the number of fundraising places available to participants residing outside of the United Kingdom.
On the day of the race, participants fundraising for the title charity have access to a dedicated marquee. This facility provides a baggage drop area, refreshments such as hot drinks, and professional photography services. Runners also receive a sustainable running vest to wear during the event.
