Event Information
The Royal Parks Half Marathon takes place on Sunday, 11 October 2026. Participants can run to fundraise for The Royal Parks charity.
The Course
The race is described as a scenic half marathon that takes place on closed roads through four of London's Royal Parks and past world-famous landmarks.
Participation Options
There are two main ways to participate.
- Team Royal Parks Place: This requires an application, a non-refundable registration fee of £35, and agreement to a minimum fundraising target of £350. The application deadline is Thursday, 13 August 2026. Participants receive a sustainable running vest and access to a charity marquee on race day. The charity notes that places for participants residing outside the UK may be limited due to sustainability efforts.
- Own Ballot Place: Runners who secure their own place through the event's general ballot can also choose to fundraise for the charity without a registration fee or a minimum sponsorship target.
Supporting the Charity
Funds raised support The Royal Parks charity, which manages 5,000 acres of historic parkland in London, including Bushy Park, The Green Park, Greenwich Park, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Regent's Park, Richmond Park, and St. James's Park. The charity states it cares for the parks, their 170,000 trees, and 7,000 species of wildlife. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
