Route 66 UltraRun
The Route 66 UltraRun is scheduled for November 14, 2026 on Historic Route 66 in Arizona. The event is the 5th Annual edition and is a Certified Route 66 Centennial Event commemorating the 100 year anniversary of the highway.
Races follow historic stretches of Route 66 and pass through expansive valleys, pinon pine forests, rugged mountains, desert landscapes, and marshes alongside iconic Americana. The original 140 mile course runs from Seligman to Topock66. A new 100 mile CenturyRun runs from Peach Springs to Topock66.
Time limits are 60 hours for the 140 mile race and 48 hours for the CenturyRun, with no intermediate cutoffs reported. Crewed Runners must complete all miles on their own feet with support from crew and pacers; the 140 mile race requires at least two and no more than four crew members, while the CenturyRun allows a maximum of two. With prior approval, two Crewed Runners may share a crew if they remain together for the entire race.
Relay teams may enter both distances. Teams of three to six people may compete in the 140 mile relay division; teams of three, four, or five people may compete in the CenturyRun relay division. Finishers in the Crewed, Relay, and Journey divisions receive a colored enamel finisher medal and a finisher shirt featuring original centennial artwork.
Registration closes October 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM MT. Entry fees listed range from USD 564.15 to USD 1432.15. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
