Rotary Huron Shore Run
The Rotary Huron Shore Run is a community fundraising event held on June 6, 2026 in Southampton, Ontario at 146 High Street. The event offers several race options plus a free kids fun run.
Distances:
- 5K run and walk
- 10K run
- 15K run new for 2026
- Kids Fun Run free
All courses use a classic out-and-back route along the Lake Huron shoreline. The 15K introduced for 2026 focuses on running the coast and follows a mostly flat, straightforward section of the shoreline. The route includes a turn onto Huron Street before returning.
Green Bib program: adult registrants may choose a Green Bib to forgo the race shirt and/or finisher medal. When selected, a $10 donation is made to a sustainability project led by the Town of Saugeen Shores. Green Bib participants still receive a specially marked bib, chip timing, full on-course support, and post-race refreshments.
Community impact: the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation has been the primary beneficiary since 1999, with more than $700,000 donated. Bernie’s Boat and Saugeen Shores Special Olympics joined in 2025 and provide finish line support, on-course assistance, and encouragement. A recent event snapshot shows 84 participants and $552.67 raised through fundraising organizations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
