Rotary Huron Shore Run : event description
The Rotary Huron Shore Run takes place on June 6, 2026 along the Lake Huron shoreline and offers multiple distances for participants. All courses use a classic out-and-back layout; after turning onto Huron Street runners reach the turnaround before returning to the finish.
Offered distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- 15K
- Kids Fun Run
A new 15K for 2026 follows a flat, simple coastal stretch of the shoreline. Race weekend includes registration and packet pickup on Friday, June 5 at the Southampton Coliseum, 24 Albert St, Southampton, and packet pickup (no registration) on Saturday, June 6 at the same location.
The Green Bib program lets adult registrants choose a Green Bib or a Regular Bib. Choosing a Green Bib means forgoing the t-shirt, finisher medal, or both and triggers a US$10 donation to a sustainability project led by the Town of Saugeen Shores. A Regular Bib includes the race shirt and finisher medal. Green Bib holders still receive a specially marked bib, chip timing, full on-course support, and post-race refreshments.
The event supports community organizations. The Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation has been the primary beneficiary since 1999, with more than $700,000 donated. Bernie’s Boat and Saugeen Shores Special Olympics joined in 2025 and provide finish line and on-course support on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
