Rosemary Hill Scatter Run Orienteering
The Rosemary Hill Scatter Run is a Rogaine style orienteering event held at Rosemary Hill trails in Pretoria East on 30 August 2026. Participants use a map and optional compass to visit as many checkpoints as possible within an allocated time.
- 150 minute course - approx. 15 km, solo or teams of 2 to 4
- 90 minute course - approx. 8 km, solo or teams of 2 to 4
- 60 minute course - approx. 5 km, solo or teams of 2 to 4
Participants choose their time limit when entering and score points by visiting checkpoints. Time is limited and points are deducted for each minute over the allocated time. The event uses the SPORTident electronic timing system and the timing chip hire is included with entry. Maps are provided.
The terrain is mostly open with some thicker undergrowth and wooded areas and a good network of roads, tracks and paths; navigation is generally on the easy side. Toilets are available near the parking and start area and refreshments are on sale at the Rosemary Hill café or restaurant. There will be limited water on the course so participants should arrange to carry water for the duration. The event supports entrants aged 12 and older. Final instructions will be sent to entered participants on 28 August. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
