Rose Canyon Ultra
The Rose Canyon Ultra is a trail race held June 5, 2027, using trails in the Rose, Butterfield, and Yellow Fork Canyon areas. The course starts and finishes at Butterfield Trailhead Regional Park and passes ridges, single track trails, meadows, and dense foliage with views of the Kennecott Mine area.

Registration includes a marked course, a locally made finisher medal, a running shirt, free race photos, live results, and postrace food such as freshly baked cinnamon rolls and pumpkin chocolate chip bread. Aid stations are stocked with Tailwind electrolyte drink, water, Honey Stinger gels and waffles, fruit, cola and ginger ale, plus assorted snack items. The course is marked with pink and orange flags, ribbons, signs, and trail marshals; flagging appears before, during, and after turns.
For the 50 mile race pacers are allowed starting at the Yellow Fork Aid Station (approximate miles 31.4, 37.2, and 42.1). One drop bag is allowed at Butterfield Peak Trailhead for 50 mile runners and one drop bag at Yellow Fork Aid Station for all distances; drop bags must be brought to the race start Saturday morning.
