Rooskey 5k 2026
The Rooskey 5k takes place on Wednesday 1 July 2026 in the village of Rooskey on the Roscommon and Leitrim county border. The event includes a 5 km run and a 5 km walk and welcomes runners and walkers from the local area and beyond.
The course is professionally measured. Runners will be timed with chipped timing; walkers are recorded without chips. Refreshments are served after the race. Prizes are awarded in the following categories: minor (U18), senior, over 40 and over 50.
Bib number and T-shirt collection is available on Tuesday 30 June from 7:30 to 8:30 pm and from 6 pm on race day at the community centre in the middle of the village. Entry fees are set as follows: runners with chipped timing €15, walkers without chips €10, run plus T-shirt €25, walk plus T-shirt €20. Family entries for two adults and two children are €50 for runners without T-shirts and €90 for runners with T-shirts. All prices exclude the Eventmaster booking fee.
The event is organised by the local GAA club and is presented as a community road event with measured course, timing services for runners, post-race refreshments and age-group prizes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
