About the race
The Röntgenlauf in Remscheid is an annual landscape running event; the 24th edition is scheduled for 25 October 2026, traditionally held on the last Sunday in October. The event is organised with the support of almost 500 volunteers and offers a range of race formats and distances.

Registration is handled online and early-bird fees apply; online registration closes on 18 October 2026. A NoShow insurance option can be added during online registration for €10; it transfers a non-start to the following year for the same distance, is available only at registration, and cannot be extended or used twice. On-site late entries are possible at the event if places remain; higher fees and cash payment rules apply.
Race administration and services: bib pickup is at the Sportzentrum Hackenberg (Pasta party evening and event day); marathon bibs must be collected there, not at the Marathon start area. Timing uses an RFID chip integrated in the bib. Baggage can be stored in Hall 4 but there is no liability for valuables. Aid stations are sited along the routes and typically provide water, tea, isotonic drinks, cola, bananas, muesli bars and salty snacks. Trail poles are permitted on distances of 42 km and above. Dogs and running buggies are not allowed for safety reasons.
The event includes a separate classification for participants with disabilities and is part of the DUV Cup. Environmental measures encourage reusable cups to reduce waste. A cooperation with the Königsforst Marathon makes a combined long-distance series possible. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
