Rogue Gorge - Union Creek, OR
Rogue Gorge is a trail running event in Union Creek, Oregon along the Upper Rogue Wild and Scenic River in the Southern Oregon Cascades. The courses follow the Rogue Gorge Trail and Upper Rogue River Trail, mostly singletrack that runs along forested river bluffs and past lava tube features, waterfalls, and old growth forest.
The site description references the volcanic eruption of Mt. Mazama about 7,700 years ago and notes geological features such as collapsed lava tube chasms, underground river sections at Natural Bridge, Takelma Gorge, and basalt and pumice canyons. The terrain includes old growth Douglas fir, ponderosa pine, and sugar pine.
Event distances offered:
- 50 Miler: point to point, 99% singletrack, 4000 ft ascent, 5900 ft descent, 6 aid stations
- 50K: mostly point to point, 99% singletrack, 31.0 miles, 3000 ft ascent, 4 aid stations
- Half Marathon: out and back, 98% singletrack, 13.4 miles, 900 ft ascent, one aid station
- 12K: lollipop loop style, 98% singletrack, 7.5 miles, 330 ft ascent
The event is produced by Daybreak Racing. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Siskiyou Mountain Club. Registration opens April 1, 2026 at 6:00 AM PT.
