Event Overview
The Rogue Gorge is a trail running event held in Union Creek, Oregon. It takes place along the Upper Rogue Wild & Scenic River in the Southern Oregon Cascades. The courses use the Rogue Gorge Trail and the Upper Rogue River Trail, a National Recreation Trail. The trails are predominantly singletrack and run alongside the river, which features chasms, waterfalls, and underground tunnels formed by historic volcanic activity.
Distances
The event offers four race distances:
- 50 Miler (point-to-point course with 4000 ft ascent, 5900 ft descent)
- 50K (point-to-point course with 3000 ft ascent, 3000 ft descent)
- Half Marathon (mostly out-and-back course, 13.4 miles with 900 ft ascent/descent)
- 12K (mostly lollipop-loop course, 7.5 miles with 330 ft ascent/descent)
Aid stations are provided along each course.
Organizer and Beneficiary
The event is produced by Daybreak Racing. A portion of the race proceeds will be donated to the Siskiyou Mountain Club, a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring and maintaining trails in Northwest California and Southwest Oregon.
