Event Overview
The Rogue Gorge event is held along the Upper Rogue Wild & Scenic River in the Southern Oregon Cascades. It takes place on October 17 & 18, 2026. The course uses the Rogue Gorge Trail and the Upper Rogue River Trail, a National Recreation Trail. The route passes through old-growth forest and features river views, collapsed lava tube chasms, waterfalls, and underground tunnels.
Distances
- 50 Miler (point-to-point) on Saturday.
- 50K (point-to-point) on Saturday.
- Half Marathon (lollipop loop) on Sunday.
- 12K (lollipop loop) on Sunday.
Location and Schedule
The event is staged at the Union Creek Day Use Picnic Shelter & Amphitheater in Union Creek, Oregon. Registration opens on April 1st. A free shakeout run and shoe demo, optional bib pickup, campfire, and movie night are scheduled for the Friday before the race.
Registration and Details
Registration fees increase over several periods. The fee includes a marked course, staging venue, parking, timing, aid stations, medical support, communications, finisher awards, and photography. A race shirt or hat is not included. A discounted youth rate is available for the 12K, with a limited number of free entries for ages 14-19.
A portion of race proceeds is donated to the Siskiyou Mountain Club. The event includes a volunteer trail work series. Post-race, there is food, beverages, and music. Every finisher receives a custom award, with additional awards for the top three male and female finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
